Is foot dissection the only answer?

Aerobic gram-positive cocciStaphylococcus aureus is the bacteria causing Diabetic Foot. The simplified treatment acquired through years in Diabetic foot condition is dissection of infected part or complete foot, which indeed with a review in the treatment and advancements can be altered leaving the patient an option other than dissection.

Non-dissection possibilities:
  • Debridement is a new surgical procedure acquired which involves removal of infected and damaged tissue layers over the wound and further treating the wound with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs with regular cleaning of the wound and moist dressing of the wound.
  • Discovering the type of Antimicrobial drug resistance and type of bacterial strain leading to the infectious conditions and treating in accordance may give enhancements in the results.
  • Using various techniques like Imaging of infection and other relative diagnosis gives specificity with higher accuracy in treatment results of the infection.
  • Drugs: Linezolid, Amikacin, Amoxicillin& Clavulanic acid, Cefixime etc.
  • Following the drug-induced treatment advice of healthy a lifestyle which enhances the drug activity for better output i.e. Low nicotine intake, Optimizing blood glucose level to normal conditions, Using diabetic footwear and other practices leading to a decrease in glucose level and hygienic lifestyle.
  • The major part is the after-treatment management involving prevention and compensation practices including regular Blood glucose check-up, regular foot condition and infection growth analysis by Ultrasound and X-ray will leave no chance to the growth or re-attack of infection.

Is each and every pathogen a disease causing one?

* Primarily disease causing pathogens include bacteria, fungi, virus, protozoa and worms. But all types of microorganisms are not pathogenic i.e. only a particular kind or series of microorganism have the pathogenic characteristics and cause disease or illness.

*Pathogens are not the direct host for the infectious diseases, but they on combining to any type of categorized microorganism can cause illness or disease.

* As pathogenic infections are considered as the most common infections seen even due to climate change but they may lead to the adherence of antimicrobial resistance which may influence the future health conditions.

* In  the commonly used term of bacterial and viral infections  majority of the infections are sourced by the pathogens.

* In highly populated countries like China, India, USA and Indonesia..... The figures resembling the stats related to the growth of pathogenic infections are spread like a wildfire. They are also been termed as the most neglected health care issues in their respective countries.

Treatment and Prevention

* Unlike directly microbial sourced diseases pathogenic infections cannot be cured using simple antibiotics and antivirals i.e. the condition is treated by strengthening the immune system as pathogens are also used in minute quantities in the vaccine preparations and maintaining the hygienic environment plays the major role in the prevention of pathogenic infections.

Is early vaccination an effective preventive measure?

Yes! It is the most effective and efficient preventive measure ever acquired.

Vaccination stands as the best way ever discovered to prevent and infection. It contains a partially live or dead bacteria\virus which strengthens the immune system and fights against the infection causing microorganism. Vaccination is widely questioned and discussed aspect on its introduction and has finally been declared the safest and efficient way of fighting a wild spread infection. Vaccine was the reason for worldwide eradication of deadly infections.

In 1796 first time the word vaccine was introduced by Edward Jenner who first discovered cowpox vaccine which is termed as the small pox of cow. Later in the year 1880 Louis Pasture coined the term to be extended and used find a preventive measure for various deadly diseases leading to millions of deaths every year.

There were times when people lost their lives even after the discovery of vaccine to the respective disease, lack of education and many reasons lead to millions of deaths due to Cholera, Tuberculosis, Small Pox, Influenza, Hepatitis A-B, Rotavirus and Measles.

Vaccination has been declared the safest form of Preventive measure ever found and show 100% results on the respective areas.
There are various types of Vaccines namely:

*Inactivated                *Attenuated                 *Toxoid                   *Subunit
*Conjugate                  *Experimental              *Valence                 *Heterotypic

Is Disease Prevention and Control a negligible term?

No absolutely not!!!

Drug administration for couple of courses until disappearance of symptoms or disease conditions is not the endpoint of a treatment!!

Prevention should have been the major part of treating a disease, as of now people are using a class of antibiotics for single or multiple course and deciding that they are done with the treatment, but they are missing a point of gaining back their immunity. Removal of disease symptoms or disease condition must not be considered as a complete treatment. It should be strictly followed by preventive measures. There is a complete chance of re-appearance or re-attack of disease or disease microbe in the same individual. So preventive measures using vaccinations or other methods of prevention for a period of time must be the safer end to the treatment.
A proper treatment includes
# Diagnosis     # Treatment   #Preventive measures    # Regular health analysis

In the 1940s, Hugh R. Leavell and E. Gurney Clark introduced the term prevention to the world.
  • Preventive measures involve 5 levels of prevention.  Primal, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Quaternary
  • Vaccination is one of the majorly used types of prevention all over the globe.  Administering vaccine during the age of 7-11 years was the most effective preventive measure taken till date.
  • Various measures such as Injection Safety, Hand Hygiene and use of personal protective equipment may also be termed as preventive measures.
  • Educating people to continue the treatment process to gain their immunity. This leads to the repulsive action on re attack of the infection or disease and allows the individual leave a disease free live.
